About Raylene

A mix of Mexican and Jewish-American, Raylene (born Stacey Briana Bernstein) provides the perfect evidence that mixed races do conceive more attractive people.  According to a Psychology article on Physorg.com, this idea stems from Darwin’s establishment of heterosis—hybrid vigor—which says that cross breeding produces offspring that are genetically more fit.  Thus, people who come from more diverse genes are seen as better-looking than those who are not mixed.  In fact, Dr. Michael Lewis from Cardiff University’s School of Psychology conducted an experiment in which people rated the attractiveness of a random sample of white, black, and mixed races.  Mixed races were rated significantly higher than the rest.  Furthermore, though mixed races only make up a small portion of the population, they are over-represented in meritocratic professions, suggesting that heterosis in humans extend past just physical features.  Indeed, with one of the most beautiful faces in the pornographic industry, Raylene only perpetuates this idea. 

Raylene is unique in that her success rode more on her face than her body.  Though she is talented in all aspects of pornography, there is no doubt that her facial features are unparalleled by any other in the industry. With big, dark brown eyes, thick long lashes, and glowing tan skin, her Mexican features dominate but are softened by a delicate face structure and high cheekbones.  Additionally, her presence displays strength and confidence, yet her demure smile suggests that there are more dimensions to her character.  These qualities are a contrast to the purely sexual images of other pornographic actresses, giving the audience a taste of something fresh.

Therefore in 1998, she signed an exclusive contract with Vivid Entertainment, an adult film company.  Three years in, she decided to retire in 2001 to become a real estate agent.  Moreover, she retired from dancing in 2004.  Much to the relief of her most devoted fans, Raylene made a comeback in 2009 when she starred in the movie Raylene’s Dirty Work.
